My Favorite Skincare Products

One of my biggest pet peeves is when my skin does not look good. Growing up, I have always had reasonably good skin with the occasional pimple, but I do work to keep my skin clean and healthy. There are a few things that I find very important in keeping my skin nice and clean.

1. Moisturizer
Ever since I was a little girl I remember both my mom and Aunt Kelly emphasizing the importance of moisturizing day and night, and how important a good moisturizer is. That has been engrained in my brain and now I am obsessed. I have naturally dry skin, so moisturizing daily is very important in helping my skin stay healthy!

What I use: Ponds Dry Skin Cream Facial Moisturizer//Target $7.99

2. Sunscreen
Another thing my mom and Aunt Kelly engrained in my head is the harmful effects the sun can have to your skin. For that reason I believe it is important to try to remember to put sunscreen on your face and hands everyday. Sunscreen is perfect under your makeup! Honestly, when I'm in a rush to get ready I totally forget, but I do try to wear sunscreen most days. When I forget, I know I have SPF in my moisturizer and makeup. Wear sunscreen to prevent skin cancer and to help prevent premature wrinkles!

What I use: Nutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock Broad Spectrum SPF 55//Target $7.99

3. Makeup Removing Wipes
I know I'm not the only one who never wants to take off their makeup before bed. If I'm already snuggled up in bed, the last thing I want to go do is wash my face. I have read over and over again how important it is to wash your face both day and night, but I'm lazy. Most nights I do try to take the effort and wash my face, but even then I notice that all the makeup doesn't come off. So for the nights when I'm too lazy to wash my face, or when I want to make sure all my makeup is off, makeup removing wipes are the perfect thing.

What I use: Nutrogena Makeup Remover Night Calming Wipes//Target $6.51

4. Eye Cream
I may not need to use eye cream yet, but I like to think that it will help me in the long run. I do not wear it every night, but when I do I feel extra clean! I don't buy the really expensive ones yet, I'll save that for in a few years. I usually use samples I get from Sephora, or my moms. When I don't use an eye cream, I usually put a little Vaseline under my eyes at night to keep a fresh look for the morning. Taking care of your skin from a young age is very important to me, and I want to be in a routine that I can use daily.

What I use:
1. (I use a small, free sample from Sephora) Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl Eye-Illuminating Youth Activating Concentrate//Sephora $68

2. Auquaphor Healing Ointment Tube//Target $4.99

3. (When I use my moms) Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Eye Lift Cream//Sephora $37

5. Toner
Makeup doesn't like to come off, it takes a lot of time and product to get all of my makeup off, even if I am barely wearing any. I like to use a toner or astringent right after I wash my face and before I put on my moisturizer. I love seeing all the extra residue that didn't come off when I just simply washed my face. I also like to use an astringent that helps with acne, I feel like I'm killing two birds with one stone (or whatever that saying is).

What I use: Clean & Clear essentials deep cleaning toner//Target $4.29

6. Eye Makeup Remover
I usually don't wear a lot of eye makeup, so I don't need to use this a lot. When I do wear eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara, eye makeup remover becomes my best friend. It's so easy to not take off eye makeup, but its so important to do!

What I use:
1. (I use a small, free sample from Sephora) Makeup Forever Sens'Eyes//Sephora $24

2. Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover//Target $4.99

7. Multi-use Argan Oil
At Sephora one day, I used some of my VIB membership points towards a Josie Maran Argan Natural Wonders set. Inside were four miniature size best selling products, one of them being the argan oil. The directions for the oil read: Apply this lightweight Moroccan Oil as a daily moisturizer, nighttime treatment, and to heal everything from cuticles to split ends. I have used this product on the ends of my hair, and honestly noticed a difference. I put it on annoying dry spots on my face overnight, and its like magic for my skin! I have not tried it on my cuticles, but I will. I went out and bought this product, but only the mini size because its kind of expensive, and a little lasts a long time.

What I use: Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil//Sephora Mini $16, regular $48, jumbo $96

I have an addiction to Sephora and I love trying the free products I get with my VIB points. I will soon post my favorite makeup products!

Xo,
Claudia
