Life & Being Thankful

Growing up, I always hated when something wouldn't go my way, but I'm sure that's the same with everyone. Whenever my dad would tell me no, I would always say, "That's not fair!!" to which he would reply, "Life's not fair.", and I would reply again, "No, you're not fair!". I now realize how true his statement is. Life isn't always fair, and majority of the time it isn't easy. I have had a wonderful life so far, these past 20 years I have been truly blessed. That doesn't mean my life has been perfect, I have had many failures and disappointments. What makes it easier is knowing that I have my family and friends who are always there for me.

I recently have been working on my photojournalism midterm, and I felt great about it! I submitted it to my teacher, and lets just say he did not feel the same way. I felt defeated and I wanted to cry. This is not the first time this teacher hasn't liked my work. I have tried really hard in his class, but it seems like everything I do is not good enough. I guess this is how life goes, you can't please everyone, even when you try your best. I know that I did try my best, and so I can live with it if he doesn't agree. (I'm just praying it doesn't affect my grade!!! hehe)

I have so much to be thankful for, so when hard times hit, I just have to remember all the things I have to be thankful for. I know this doesn't seem like a big problem, and it's not the biggest problem I have faced, but it's always nice to be reminded to be thankful.

Okay, I am done rambling. Remember to count your blessings, especially when life isn't fair or easy!!

ps- HAPPY APRIL (1st) FOOLS!! I miss March already, but I am looking forward to the wonderful month of April, and all that is in store for me!
