New Hair Care Products

I just recently dyed/highlighted my hair for the first time ever. I was really nervous, but I wanted to do something different. I used my favorite blogger Julia Engel from Gal Meets Glam as my inspiration. It took a few tries, but I am so happy with the results!

I knew that I would need to take better care of my hair after I dyed my hair, so I purchased some new hair care products I would like to share with you.

I was told I needed to get a repairing shampoo and conditioner, but I went to three different places - Ulta, Target and even Walmart - and wasn't able to find just that. I read each bottle and bought something I thought would be very similar.

I ended up purchasing the Paul Mitchell Strength Super Strong Daily Shampoo and Conditoner. I tend to get very frizzy hair, especially living in Florida during the summer, so I bought two items from the smoothing line. I also saw this Shea Moisture Frizz Defense Hair Masque and thought I would try it out.

So far I have tested out the smoothing products the most and I really, really like them. The bigger bottle is a smoothing straight workserum and that is where I noticed the most result. When I wear my hair natural, it's usually wavy/curly, unruly and frizzy, but with this product it actually dried pretty straight and there was not a lot of frizz. I was pleasantly surprised. The smoothing super skinny serum smells amazing and makes my hair really soft. I will repurchase both items in the future.

I also wanted to try out a new mascara, so while I was out at the drugstore I decided to pick up L'oreal Vuluminous mascara. I thought it applied very well without looking clumpy. I tend to like a little more "umpf" with my mascara so I added one of my other mascaras on top and it was really pretty. I would wear this mascara on its own, but I just wanted to see how it worked with other mascaras. I really liked how easy it was to remove the mascara, it just glided right off with some warm water.

That is all for this post! Hope you enjoyed!
